The material and technical base: 18 academic buildings with total area of 9,999.6 square meters. m where locate 123 audience , 21 computer classes, language laboratories , teaching laboratories , besides, 5095 square meters. m - the area occupied by the problematic and industry laboratories and research institutes . The University has a training and production workshops, auto base training complex " Karazinsky ", sports camp " Figurovka ", a sanatorium, dining rooms , snack bars and cafes which can seat 1372 students. There are more than 1100 computers un the University.
The university is one of the biggest scientific centers of Ukraine. The University is the main scientific organization of several international space programs. University scientists collaborate with scientists from the U.S., Canada, Russia, Germany, Turkey, China, Japan, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Britain and other countries.
The University operates Astronomical Observatory, which is one of the leading astronomical institutions in Ukraine, where the fundamental and applied research in the physics of the Sun, planets, asteroids, comets and satellites.
Botanical Garden of the University, the oldest in Ukraine is a state nature reserve, in a unique collection of plants, representatives of different botanical and geographical areas around the world.
